During the last year, we have faced challenges that changed our entire way of living. The pandemic was a wake-up call with only emerging consequences. Health, sustainability, technology, and also our emotions will play an important role in our new "normality". Our responses have to take into account parallel challenges such as sustainability and climate change, which add to the disruption and require new and innovative solutions. Societies globally are adapting, leading to a reset in the way we are living and interacting as human beings in the environment. Design as we know it, needs to be reformulated, to be able to respond to these challenges and support with form and function an inclusive re-emerging civic fabric. Shifting to new ways of disruptive alternatives, new ideas, skills, perspectives and practices will provide the pathways to design within the complexity of the new live, work, play environments
