Jordi Puig

Born in 1967, Jordi earned a degree in Biology in 1990 from the University of Navarra (Spain), and a Ph.D. in Landscape Planning in 1995 from the School of Forestry, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain).
He has taught Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) since 1996 at the University of Navarra.
He was a visiting scholar at the School of Natural Resources, University of California, Berkeley (2002–2003), and at the EIA Centre, School of Planning, University of Manchester.
Upon returning to the University of Navarra, he directed the Master’s Degree in Biodiversity, Landscapes, and Sustainable Management (2007–2012), served as a professor of Urban Ecology at the School of Architecture, and was the primary advocate for the creation of a new degree in Environmental Sciences at the School of Sciences.
His research has focused on topics such as landscape ecology and environmental management, EIA, and environmental education, philosophy, and ethics. He currently coordinates a research group in Environmental Humanities, exploring human–nature interactions and environmental impacts from a cultural perspective.
