Sixteenth International Conference on The Constructed Environment

  • From the Home to the City: Designing Spatial Experiences
  • 14-15 May 2026
  • Universidad de Navarra, Pamplona, Spain + Online

Special Focus & Annual Themes

The Constructed Environment Research Network is brought together by a common shared interest in human configurations of the environment and the interactions among the constructed, social and natural environments. We seek to build an epistemic community where we can make linkages across disciplinary, geographic, and cultural boundaries. As a Research Network, we are defined by our scope and concerns and motivated to build strategies for action framed by our shared themes and tensions.

The Sixteenth International Conference on The Constructed Environment calls for research addressing the following annual themes and special focus:

  • 2026 Special Focus—From the Home to the City: Designing Spatial Experiences
  • Theme 1: The Design of Space and Place
  • Theme 2: Constructing the Environment
  • Theme 3: Environmental Impacts
  • Theme 4: Social Impacts
